UM, THE APPLICANT IS M-R-M-R-C-L FLATIRON, LLC.

THEY'RE THE PROPERTY OWNER, UH, AND THEY'RE LOOKING TO DEMOLISH A SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE AND AN ACCESSORY STRUCTURE.

UH, THIS IS LOCATED OUTSIDE OF THE HISTORIC DISTRICT, BUT IT IS OLDER THAN 50 YEARS OLD, WHICH IS WHY WE'RE HERE TONIGHT.

UH, THIS IS A SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE AND A SHED.

IT WAS CONSTRUCTED IN 1963, UM, 1,142 SQUARE FEET APPROXIMATELY, AND AS YOU CAN SEE, APPEARS TO BE IN POOR CONDITION.

WE DID CONDUCT A SITE VISIT, AND THESE ARE SOME PHOTOS FROM THAT VISIT WHERE YOU CAN SEE THE EXTERIOR AND SOME OF THE FOUNDATION DAMAGE.

AND THIS IS A PHOTO OF THE ACCESSORY SHED THAT THEY ARE PROPOSING TO DEMOLISH AS WELL.

THERE WERE 84 NOTIFICATIONS MAILED TO PROPERTIES WITHIN 500 FEET.

UH, ANNA, IT WAS NOTICED IN THE BERNIE STAR.

13 RESPONSES WERE RECEIVED IN FAVOR OF DEMOLITION OF THIS PUBLIC HEARING, UH, FOR, FOR THIS PUBLIC HEARING.

UH, ADDITIONALLY, I DID RECEIVE ONE IN THE MAIL IT THIS AFTERNOON, WHICH WAS ALSO IN FAVOR.

THIS PROPERTY IS NOT A HISTORIC LANDMARK, UM, AND DOES NOT HAVE ANY ARCHITECTURAL, CULTURAL OR EDUCATIONAL VALUE, UM, THAT STAFF COULD IDENTIFY.

AND I AM OPEN TO ANY QUESTIONS THAT YOU MIGHT HAVE.

I DON'T HAVE.

AND I, I TOURED THE HOME, UM, WITH FRANKIE AND I MEAN, I CAN SEE IN THE VIDEOS.

I MEAN, THE PICTURES, UH, THE HOUSE HAS BEEN ON, ADDED ON SEVERAL TIMES, AND KIND OF THE JOINTS WHERE THEY WERE ALL ADDED ARE CLEARLY MALFUNCTIONING.

THEY'RE NOT STAYING TOGETHER VERY WELL.

UM, IT IS PEER AND BEAM AND YOU CAN DEFINITELY SEE FOUNDATION ISSUES.

UM, AS YOU'RE WALKING AROUND THE HOUSE.

SHE POINTED OUT ONE OF THE PICTURES.

YOU SEE IT IN THE CORNER, BUT THERE'S REALLY NOTHING WORTH SAVING THAT WAS VISIBLE WHEN WE VISITED THE SITE.

UH, THIS PROPERTY, UM, IS OWNED BY STACEY AND RUSSELL KNOLL.

IT IS REPRESENTED BY BEN ADAMS, WHO IS HERE TONIGHT.

UM, THEIR REQUEST IS TO DEMOLISH THE SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE.

THIS PROPERTY IS LOCATED OUTSIDE OF THE HISTORIC DISTRICT, BUT IT IS OLDER THAN 50 YEARS, WHICH IS WHY IT IS BEFORE YOU TONIGHT.

AND HERE IS OUR SITE VISIT PHOTOS.

IT IS WORTH NOTING SOMETHING, UM, OUTSIDE OF THESE PHOTOS IS THE, UH, FREE LITTLE LIBRARY, UM, AT THE FRONT OF THE PROPERTY.

UM, WHEN SPEAKING WITH OWNER, HE SAYS THEY, THEY WOULD LIKE TO KEEP THAT.

HERE'S THE SIDE IN THE REAR OF THE PROPERTY, THE REAR.

AND HERE ARE THE TWO SHEDS THAT THE OWNER INDICATED WOULD BE, UM, MOVED OFFSITE.

THERE WERE 48 NOTICES MAILED TO PROPERTY WITHIN 500 FEET OF THE PROPERTY.

UH, AND IT WAS NOTICED IN THE BERNIE STAR.

WE RECEIVED SIX WRITTEN NOTICES IN FAVOR OF THE DEMOLITION.

UH, PRIOR TO THIS MEETING, I ALSO RECEIVED ONE IN THE MAIL TODAY FOR THIS ONE AS WELL.

IT WAS ALSO IN FAVOR.

SO A TOTAL OF SEVEN RESPONSES IN FAVOR.

UH, THIS PROPERTY DOES NOT, UH, UH, DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE HISTORIC LANDMARK AND DOES NOT HAVE ANY ARCHITECTURAL, CULTURAL OR EDUCATIONAL VALUE IDENTIFIED BY STAFF.

UH, THE RECOMMENDATION IS THAT HLC SHOULD HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING AND DETERMINE IF IT MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS OF UDC SECTION TWO 11 AND, UH, SHOULD BE CONSIDERED A CONTRIBUTING STRUCTURE OR NOT.

UM, I ALSO HAD A CHANCE TO, UM, VISIT THIS SITE AND WE WERE LUCKY THAT MR. NOEL DROVE BY AND LET US IN 'CAUSE WE WERE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW WE CAN GET IN .

UM, THIS HOUSE ALSO HAS AN ADDITION AND IT'S GOT P AND BE AND THEN, UM, CONCRETE SLAB AND A PART OF IT.

UM, THERE'S EASILY STRUCTURE, FOUNDATION ISSUES.

YOU CAN SEE WHEN YOU'RE WALKING AROUND, THERE'S BIG CRACKS IN IT.

UM, THERE, THE NEW ADDITION DOES HAVE, YOU KNOW, NEWER LAP SIDING ON IT, BUT YOU CAN DEFINITELY SEE THE, UM, BUT LITTLE SPEED IT'S BEHIND.

IT IS ALL ROTTEN OUT.

I CAN SEE LIKE ON THE BOTTOMS OF IT WHEN YOU'RE WALKING AROUND, BUT THERE'S NOTHING, UM, HISTORICAL THAT NEEDS TO BE KEPT.

THE WINDOWS ARE OLD.

UM, A LOT OF 'EM ARE KIND OF ROTTING OUT, SO THEY NEED TO KEEP THOSE EITHER.

UM, THEY DO HAVE A CHAIN LINK FENCE ON TWO SIDES OF THE HOUSE, TWO OR THREE SIDES.

AND WE MENTIONED TO MR. NOEL THAT, YOU KNOW, ACCORDING TO THE NEW, UH, RULES, THAT THAT WILL HAVE TO BE, YOU KNOW, DEMOED AS WELL IN THE NEWER FENCE.

AND HE WAS AWARE OF THAT AND AGREED TO DO THAT AS WELL.
